It’s definitely all things Christmas in my craft room, it’s like a glitter explosion in there.  I made the foamiran hellebores using my newest Hellebore Flower Die from Whimsy Stamps along with some new leaf additions to my die cutting stash.

The stamens started life off white, but I gave them a coat of gold paint so they would tie in with the rest of the card.

I dug out one of the few Magnolia die kits I treated myself to last year.  I stopped buying them after 3, I just could not justify the cost of the kit, given that you’ve no clue what you’re paying for or getting AND you have to prepay months in advance. Totally ridiculous!  The bauble on today’s card is the first die I’ve used from that kit!  I know right?  Eek - total overspend there methinks, they sure saw me coming. 🙄

I die cut the JOY from a Spellbinders alphabet set.  I forgot just how much I love mirror card for Christmas cards.

Jingle Bells

I really do love digging out all the Christmas embellies and papers, sparkle and bling.  So whilst I had a holy mess in my craft room last weekend I made up some more gift tags for special pressies.

Ginghams and plaids are so perfect for Christmas, and I even got to use up bits and bobs from my scraps boxes.  Ugh, I’ve just spotted a glue string, need to go pull that off before I forget!

I knew those little pine cones I collect on my walks would come in handy!  I added some twine, berries, bells and glitter along with some mulberry poinsettias that I picked up from Hobbycraft.

I had a production line going with these mini tags/cards and got a whole bunch done.

I’m off to hunt down that glue string lol.

Meowy Kitty-mas!

I really do love Crissy Armstrong’s animals, she manages to capture the innocence along with the cuteness overload.  And she’s done that in spades with this stamp set Meowy Kitty-mas from Whimsy Stamps.  I kept to traditional red and white with a touch of silver and green for today’s card.

Can you say cute!?!  I coloured the image with prismacolor pencils and didn’t blend the kitty to give the look of fur.

I made the poinsetia using my Lily Flower die and foamiran and used a silver cabachon for the centre.  I cut the mistletoe branches from glitter card and finished off the arrangement with some twine that I bought from Hobbycraft and some silver and white berries.
That’s another Christmas card added to the pile

Forever Friends

Shabby and pink, I’m SO in my happy place!

I made the large pale pink flower and the berries and buds at the last workshop I attended in Nottingham.  We had a fabulous weekend hosted by Monika from Love to Craft and Create and taught by Ewa Constancja – so very talented!

The clematis I made using my Lily Flower Die from Whimsy Stamps, and the little white flowers are from a Craft Passion Die.  I’ll have all the links at the end of the post.

I wanted the hearts to match the embossed sentiment so gave them a coat of Starlights Silver Paint by Imagination Crafts, I then painted some card and die cut some little sprigs to tie in the arrangement.  Man I LOVE that paint!  The glisten and glimmer is dazzling!  I carried the dazzle through to the chipboard frame and gave that a coat of Tim Holtz Distress Glitter (another absolute favourite!)

I love getting back to my comfort zone, and this is definitely one of those cards.  I’ve been so darn poorly again, I had the mother of all flare ups after being inadvertently glutened, my gut was so not happy and I ended up with anaemia again.  Couple this with a cold that turned into a chest infection and shingles and yeah, I haven’t been too grand.  Hopefully with new treatment I’ll soon be back up to speed.

One more of the flowers because I just love them!  I get a lot of emails about the “curly stuff” I use in my flower arrangements, on this card I used waxed cord (that’s in the links below).  It’s fab stuff because the waxing helps the cord to hold it’s curl.

Christmas Bell and Hellebores

I’m back with another preview for the November Whimsy Stamps release of clear and rubber stamps as well as dies.  The new release will be live in the Whimsy Store on the 7th, until then the DT are showcasing the new goodies.

Today I’m showcasing the Hellebore Flower Die Set, and I went Christmassy for my project.  My bestest bud in the whole world is Christmas crazy so this one is for her

I covered the MDF bell (that my hubster cut for me from a pattern I found on Pinterest) with Prima paper that I’ve had a while.  I added a doily die cut then some foamiran hellebores, some berries, little pine cones and foilage.   I picked up some fake snow at The Range and used that on the arrangement to give a frosty look.  Love this stuff!

I love that this will be a keepsake that she can put on her tree every year.

Happy Headlines and Hellebores!

It's time for the new October release at Whimsy Stamps. Each month from the 1st through the 5th, a few new sets from both the rubber and clear stamp lines along with new dies. Then on the 7th, everything will be available to purchase in the Whimsy Stamps store.

Today I’m showcasing the Happy Headlines stamp set along with the new Hellebore Flower Die and Foilage 1 & 2 Die Sets

I designed the Hellebore Flower Die Set to include the fringing to act as the stamens, as I’ve used them in the pictures below along with a berry.

I used a Wow Platinum embossing powder for the sentiment and also on the chipboard frame.

The sublime paper is by Indiko, I’ve had it quite a while and could never bring myself to cut in to it.

31 Nights of Halloween–Night 26

It’s been a month of Halloween fun over on the Whimsy Stamps blog.
I decided not to make a card as I don’t celebrate Halloween, but my grandkids do.  So after scouring Pinterest I decided to make up a simple little bag to pop some sweeties in.  I used the Sleepy Hollow Stamp set and matching Sleepy Hollow Die set, along with the fab Haunted Halloween Digital Papers to make my little gift bag.

The scarecrow is so easy to colour!

My granddaughter saw this and came along the next day to make some little gift bags for her friends.  Winner winner chicken dinner, I got to spend some crafty time with my precious girl and she got some halloween goodies sorted.  I love that child so hard 💖

I think I’m going to make some of these up for Christmas to pop my homemade fudge and caramelised pecans in.

Hope you check out the Whimsy blog, there's been some amazing inspiration and give-aways this month.

You’re the best

Hello everyone, I'm back with another shabby chic card, using the beautiful lilac paper from the UKH Gallery Provence pad.

I made some foamiran flowers and little blueberries.  The large flowers are made from the Whimsy Stamps Peony Flower Die set, the little white flowers are from  Joycrafts 6002/0068 ~ Square Flower dies and the others are made from Craft Passion dies (links below)I didn’t have a green card that matched the paper for the leaves, so I roughly painted some card with diluted green acrylic paint, dried then die cut.  Job done 😊

I bought the resin angel from a lady on Facebook a while back.

The scalloped square is from a Tattered Lace die set and the sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps Simple Sentiments set

Poinsettias and Hellebores

I went to the foamiran workshop organised by Monika from Love to Craft and Create and taught by Ewa Constancja last weekend.  It. Was. Fantastic!  It truly was.

We made Poinsettias from dies (Tim Holtz and Craft Passions), learned how to make those sweet little berries, and made mistletoe and holly sans dies - these were all hand cut.

Here's some of my efforts, and if this is what I can make whilst poorly with a cold and the (unknown) start of shingles I can't wait to get well and be let loose in my craft room again.

Back on Sunday with a new card.

Country Christmas

I love Kraft, red and white together, it gives such a lovely country look to the card.  I’ve used the beautiful Snow Flurry set and Holiday Word Die set from the latest Whimsy Stamps release and kept it simple with some heat embossing, gingham ribbon and enamel dots, finished off with a couple of bells.

I cut the word dies 3 times and glued them together so they would stand a bit proud of the card.

And job done, I’ve made a whole batch of these – my 2017 Christmas card pile is coming along nicely!
