Monday already yak! I wish the weekends were as long as the weeks lol. But Monday means Wild Orchid Challenge day which is sketch this time and also features our GDT for Jun – Trudy who has made the most fabulous wall hanging using the sketch! For those that have not entered the Wild Orchid Crafts DT call you have till tomorrow to do so, just pop across to the Wild Orchid Challenge blog to enter.
Before I get on to my card, just a quick heads up. There is a bunch of new products going on the Wild Orchid Crafts website on Thursday (some is already on) … new metal embellishments, Raffia Ribbon, Bakers Divine Twine, buttons, linen cord. And also loads more new stuff that is due any day now. Here’s a sneak peek of the bronze coloured embellies – perfect for all those shabby chic/vintage cards.
Okay so for my card today I have used one of the new Bildmalarna Stamps – Little Mimosa is coming - from Dies to Die For. How sweet is she on her little bicycle. And yep I’ve used those stunning First Edition paper pads – this one is Birdsong. Love it!
The scalloped border is done with a Memory Box Die – Pearl Lace. It cuts beautifully and at £6.50 for the border die I think I will be getting the rest of them lol. I added tiny pearls to the border, think the pink just breaks the darkness of the chocolate brown.
The seam binding was distressed with Vintage Photo ink. The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts and I used a trellis rose, 20mm roses, 15mm roses, 8mm semi open roses, 4mm rose buds and sweetheart blossoms (one of the new colours that was released last week).
The image was coloured with Copics and Prismacolor pencils

Dungarees: E77, E74, E71, E40 and dark umber pencil
